Hi all,
I have an use case were I should be able to create an automated action that creates a task to the manager of the user in a helpdesk ticket. This should be rather straightforward, but I wasn't able to do this.
First I tried make the reference directly on the User field name - field in automated action. Typing user_id.employee_parent_id doesn't produce the end result I was hoping for, and the task will get to be created to wrong user.
After this I made testing with creating a custom field on the helpdesk ticket model. If I create a many2one related field to the model (with user_id.employee_parent_id relation), and export the field data to Excel, it lists the correct managers. But if I add the field to the form it shows up empty, and if I try to use it on the automated action the task will still get to be created to wrong user.
I'm not sure how to proceed, and any help would be greatly appreciated. So, how can I make a reference to the manager of the user in a helpdesk ticket?
