Important: install Studio App
- Using Studio, add an Integer field to the Sale Order Lines
2. Activate Quotation Templates (from Settings)
- Tip: From the same option, select the Default template
3. Inside the Quotation Template, generate a Quote Calculator
4. In the Quote Calculator, create a new sheet and start numbering each row vertically
Tip: You can use the formula =row()
5. Right-click on the cell and select Sync with field
6. Add the syncing configuration and drag the formula down to apply it to the rest of the cells
Each Position should match the number in the corresponding cell and should Sync with the custom field added in step 1
7. Create a new Sale Quotation and select the Quotation Template
8. After adding all your products, click the Quote Calculator smart button and then click "Save in..."
Note: If you edit or add more products, you can re-enter the Quote Calculator and save again to the sale order
If you add sections or notes, only the lines with products will be numbered
Adding the number to the PDF
If you want the line numbers to appear on the Sale Order PDF:
- Use Studio to add a column to the PDF
2. Set the column name
3. Add the custom field using the “/” feature
For Invoices
If you want to keep the same numbering on the invoice lines (matching the Sale Order):
- In the invoice lines, add a related field pointing to the Sale Order Lines’ custom field
You can also add this field to the Invoice PDF using Studio
