thank you all for the help well i tried to read as much as i can about all the links you gave me above and came out with the following questions:

Note that open erp and postgre are installed on windows server 2008R2

1. It seems that Aeroo Reports and WebKit/Mako are the best to use
2. Is report builder obsolete with v7?
3. If i only want to modify a system report what is the best tool to use?
4. If i want to use open office report builder is it required to further install Python, Report Lab and libxml for Python?

Open office works fine for me for now. But to say the best depends on user's familiarity with the report editor really as far as am concerned
