I defined the following record in order to override the existing ones:

```               0                            0                            0                            0                            0
```

But problem is that the record is not affected at all. I deliberately insert non existing field but yet it does not show while updating the record.

I noticed the same thing while trying to update existing security group. My update does not work.

Hi,

What you have to ensure is noupdate flag is not ticked for the corresponding record. If the no update flag is ticket, then the data wont be changed or further upgrade.

* Enable debug mode
* Navigate to external identifiers menu
* search for your external id
* see if no update flag is ticked or not

Thanks

Hi guys:

Can't see your record details.  I customized several datas in both xml and csv format when practising, and they all work properly, just try to check:

1、putting your record file in the 'data' or 'security' directory;

2、making sure the record file is registered in manifest file;

3、bug-free in record file itself:

  • file name:  should strictly be the model name( mapping to the table in database) seperated by ".";
  • model/res_model/id etc.: should strictly be in corresponding with the relevant values;

4、restarting server and upgrading the module in order to write into the database
