Borfield is a prominent importer of health food, supplying the health shops of two of Malta’s largest supermarkets—PAVI and PAMA. While primarily an importer and wholesaler, Borfield also plays a role in retail operations by managing stock quantities and ensuring shelf stacking at these supermarkets. Aviense has recently started working with Borfield to implement an integrated Odoo solution covering Sales, Purchase, Barcode, Accounting, Invoicing, and Inventory apps. CRC Malta, a company providing services across various domains, needed a customizable ERP system to manage its diverse operations, including inventory, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and contact management. To address these challenges, CRC Malta adopted Odoo’s all-in-one business management system and customized it using the Studio Module to meet its specific needs. A range of modules were implemented, including those for inventory management, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and contact management, ensuring all critical functions were streamlined and integrated within one platform.
The adoption of Odoo’s ERP system significantly improved operational efficiency and service quality at CRC Malta. The customized solution allowed the company to adapt to its diverse business demands, enhancing productivity and enabling the company to respond more effectively to evolving market needs. Smart IT carried out a discovery project to help the Fonicom team understand Odoo’s processes and align them with their day-to-day operations. The training was carried out in the areas of CRM, Sales, HR Finance, and Projects. Further applications like document management were reviewed within the discovery process to implement. GRTU Services Limited
The General Retailers and Traders Union (GRTU) also known as the Malta Chamber forSMEs is a trade union in Malta that represents small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
across various sectors of the economy. It was established in 1968 and has since become a
prominent voice for the business community in Malta.
The GRTU works to promote the interests of its members by engaging in advocacy and
lobbying efforts, providing business support services, and organizing training and networking
events. The union also offers a range of benefits to its members, including legal and financial
advice, discounts on various services, and representation in disputes with suppliers or
customers.
The GRTU is involved in several initiatives aimed at promoting the growth and development
of SMEs in Malta. One such initiative is the Enterprise Europe Network, a European Union-
funded program that provides business support services to SMEs looking to expand into new
markets. The GRTU also runs the Business First initiative, which provides a one-stop-shop
for business registration and licensing services.
4Sight was awarded a Tender for the full digitalisation of GRTU. 4Sight has supported the
Union in Digitising all of its operation from the management of subscriptions to accounts to
