Tasks support use cases like "We need to get this done" and "Lets schedule some time to complete this"

- accessed via a Task Menu
- manage longer chunks ( > 15 minutes) of work
- often take multiple steps to complete

- integration with other Apps - Sales, Timesheets, Documents, Field Services, Human Resources
- Full audit trail - creation, delegation, stage changes, completion
Some people have found it useful to customize Odoo to support creating a Task from an Activity. See https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/when-i-schedule-an-activity-of-type-task-how-can-i-get-odoo-to-create-a-task-in-a-project-167362 for a proof of concept
You can use this app (search app in odoo apps by name provided below) to preview your own activities.
