Since v16 has an updated analytic account configured, the import behaves differently as well.

* Note that in v16, we removed the analytic tag.

So make sure all the analytic tags have analytic accounts by checking 'distribution' in the analytic tag.

See the import template screenshot in the answer down below.

"Import example file below:
https://tinyurl.com/yvnu8jln

In the import file, the analytic distribution is specified using the following syntax in column J:
{""8"": 30.0, ""9"": 20.0, ""15"": 50.0}
In this syntax:
- ""8"" represents an analytic account ID.
- ""30.0"" represents a 30% distribution for the analytic account with ID 8.

By using this format in your import file, you can import journal entries with analytic account distribution into Odoo v16"

When exporting:

Use journal item/analytic distribution > Work

When importing:

Analytic distribution uses the syntax as follows:

{"34": 100.0, "35": 100.0}

"34" is an analytic account ID.

100.0 is a 100% distribution.

* For column C/E with external ID, please adjust it according to the database particular model and external ID.

Hi Pei Hua Tsai,

I think you can refer to this video to optimize the import of analytic distribution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXjL6fBJkuI&list=PLSKcWRTtEl5qzvRaI-VTGavfReiHS_EEb&index=4

Thank you!

How do you display the analytic account on the journal entry after import? When clicking accounting-journal entries there is no column to display analytic accounts.

Please check the journal item instead of journal entry to see the analytic account.

Hi,

Is there a way to use the analytic code (as visible to the user) instead of the ID?

Thanks

Matthias

Hello Matthias,

1. For importing the new journal entry, you can skip importing external ID (journal_item/account/external ID and journal_item/analytic_lines/external ID).

2. For the column: journal_item/Analytic_Distribution, unfortunately, you do need the analytic account ID such as 34, 35...etc.
Because the backend code is written in JASON, the importing will be more technical.

I hope it helps.
