Odoo already manages very well the standard subcontracting flow where you sell products for which you outsource the production to a third party and you resupply them with materials you buy and have in your stock. But how do we deal with the situation when you are the third party?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Contabilità
- Magazzino
- PoS
- Project
- MRP
La domanda è stata contrassegnata
Use case: furniture industry where you manufacture furniture by assembling materials received from the customer.
Product: Table
Components:
Table top - 1
Table leg - 4
Differentiate between the standard manufacturing flow (you manufacture with products you store in your stock without any reception beforehand) and the subcontracting flow using a new internal location
Create new operation types to link this new location and to manage:
reception of materials from customers to your new location
manufacturing process for subcontracting operation (production) in the new location
delivery of finished product from the new location back to the customer
Create new routes based on your operation types
Subcontracting (MTO) > the sale of the finished product will trigger the subcontracting manufacturing operation
Manage materials > since when you manufacture, components are needed in your new subcontracting location, the demand will be fulfilled from the customer location
Apply the correct route to the products
Finished product
