The story of Chartreuse Group stems from the resilience and passion of Kressoon Bokhoree, a humble tea grower who has passed on his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit to his successors.
A household name for tea in Mauritius, we are headquartered at Montée Lapeyre, Nouvelle France, a former hunting ground under French rule. The area was chosen in the mid-19th century by the British Governor, Sir John Pope Hennessy to revive tea cultivation in Mauritius.
While establishing a firm footprint in new business territories, our family enterprise has maintained a strong and durable emotional connection with tea production.
