Using Odoo Sign in latest Odoo hosted version.  When signing a document that includes a Date field, the field does not auto-populate with current date.  Instead, when you clicking on the field, it displays the text "undefined."  It's possible to type in a a valid date, but two questions:


  1.  Is there a way to use the date field so it automatically populates the current date and time of signature?
  2.  Why would the field show 'undefined' in the field when clicking on it?

Just FYI, I tried setting the Auto-fill Partner Field to something I know will be blank - in my case, ref - but it didn't make a difference, the field still shows undefined. I agree it should default to today's date

This is a bug that has been resolved for Odoo 17.4 and Odoo 18.0.

Upgrade the Sign App to be sure that the JavaScript changes are reloaded for all client connections to Odoo.

Apps --> type sign to find the App

From the 3 button Menu, select Upgrade

Ray -- I was prompted to upgrade Odoo a few weeks ago so I did.  I thought all the apps were upgraded at that point?


I followed your instruction, but I do not have the three dots that gives me the upgrade menu.

After my update above I realize you meant to go into the Apps "app" and from there the 3 dots exist.  I followed your instructions and it worked.  The date now auto-populates when signing a document.  Thank you!
