I have installed ODOO 14 on my personal laptop, i want to access the inventory management module. After installation the first time i logged in to the system i was able to work on inventory management module. Post logout, i created a new user and now when i login with new user only 2 options are coming my account / logout. I am unable to see any dashboard.

Also how to access the inventory management module through pre defined users as i don't have any information about those users.

Any help will be highly appreciable.

Please help it's urgent.

TIA

Hi,

After logging out how you created the user ? is it using the sign up button? if so, the created user will get only the permission granted to the default user template.

If you are trying to create an internal user, first login as the admin to the database(the account in which you have seen the inventory before), then go to settings menu and from there and create a new user. Once you create a user, you can set the access rights for him. Based on the granted access rights/groups user will see the menus.

Thanks

It sounds like the new user you created doesn't have the necessary permissions to access the Inventory module. Here's how to resolve this:

  1. Log in as an administrator (the user account you used during the initial installation).

  2. Navigate to Settings -> Users & Companies -> Users.

  3. Find the new user you created and open their user form.

  4. Under the "Access Rights" tab, locate the "Inventory" section.

  5. Grant the user appropriate permissions, such as "User" or "Manager," depending on their role.

  6. Save the changes.

  7. Log out and log in with the new user account. You should now see the Inventory module.

  8. Regarding predefined users, Odoo doesn't typically come with default users that have Inventory access out-of-the-box, besides the administrator account. You'll need to configure access rights for each user as described above.

It sounds like the new user you created doesn't have the necessary permissions to access the Inventory module. Here's how to address that:

First, log in as an administrator (the user that can see all modules).

Then, navigate to Settings -> Users & Companies -> Users.

Find the new user you created and open their user form.

Under the "Access Rights" tab, ensure the user has the appropriate roles for the Inventory module (e.g., Inventory User, Manager). Grant the necessary permissions.

Regarding predefined users, Odoo typically doesn't provide default login information for security reasons. You'll need to create new users and assign them appropriate roles.

After assigning the roles, log out and log in with the new user to verify the changes.

Hey, sounds like ur having quite the Odoo adventure. When you make a new user and can't see teh inventory module, it's usually about user rights. Here's what might help:

Log back in as the admin user - the one you set up everything with. Go into Settings > Users adn Companies > Users. Click on your new user, adn you’ll wanna assign the right access rights. Inventory rights, my friend! Check off Inventory User or Administrator, depending on how much access you want that new user to have.

Oh, and dont worry about predefined users - odoo doesn’t come with pre-populated users by default, so ur good there. The only ones you'll see are the ones you've set up.

Now if you're wanting to streamline this adn really get your inventory management sorted, here's a quick tip. I've seen projects that hit similar snags. We fixed it by getting into mobile warehouse automation. Setting up something like Cleverence, which supports offline use and smooth ERP integration, turned inventory headaches into a simpler process. It’s pretty nifty when you wanna cut out manual errors adn boost productivity without needing a whole IT team. Worth a shot if you keep hitting walls.
