I would be grateful if someone could let me know how I can record the time spent by a contractor that I hire on a job/project. I pay the contractor by the hour and I would like to maintain a record of this for two purposes

  1. Have a record of the hours worked by the contractor so that I can pay them
  2. Have a record of cost incurred for the work done on a job/project.

Thanks for any guidance on this.
