Environment: Odoo Version: 17.0/18.0 (Enterprise/Community)


Business Requirement:

A Retail Business wants to migrate from its Legacy software to Odoo 17 or 18 Enterprise Edition.  We migrate only the master data like products, customers, prices, vendors, lots, etc.

There can be scenarios after the Go Live customer or vendor returns and exchanges will happen even for 1 year in case of warranty products sold.  Odoo allows only returns/exchanges based on original bills.


Questions:

1. How to handle this situation in Odoo where we have not migrated the old bills or pos orders from legacy software?
