NCPD (National Center for Palm and Dates)
The National Palm and Date Centre was established by Royal Decree No. 42649 of 29/09/1432H; With the aim of establishing a sophisticated center to contribute to the development of the palm sector and dates, the center works to inform all interested people about its objectives and services and facilitate communication to promote the palm sector and dates. The Palm and Dates sector in Saudi Arabia is one of the most prominent sectors contributing to diversifying sources of income and boosting GDP through the development of non-oil revenues and stimulating the national export system to meet the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, especially as the number of palm cultivation and production of hundreds of thousands of tons of dates doubles annually. The Palm has also been chosen as the main component of Saudi Arabia's logo, and dates are the most prominent ingredients in daily Saudi hospitality and the most prestigious for guests.
