When using hundreds of variants and using them for filters the problem i am having is that if you switch categories when on the shop of the webstore when you have a filter selected the filters don't automatically clear. So when you get to the new category is shows "No Product Defined". Customers think there are not products under the new category and normally leave the site at that moment. 

Has anyone experienced this and come up with a solution? Only solution i can think of is remove the variants for filters and add more subcategories. I would prefer an automated solution to fix this ,what i think, is an odoo oversight.
