Hi,

I've been wondering why is there two config files for OpenERP? One located at: /etc/openerp-server.conf The other: /opt/openerp/.openerp_serverrc

By default, some of the config parameter seem to be set in both config files: Parameters like: db_host, db_port, db_user, db_password, admin_passwd

Thanks for any advice!

I just searched my entire server with ...

 sudo find / -name "*serverrc*"

... and the only instance I found was ...

/opt/openerp/server/install/openerp_serverrc.5

You might want to try hiding your file from OpenERP and see if it makes any difference.

I really doubt if it is required.

I'm running Version 7.0-20130305-002149 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
