Picking up completed sub BoM items when generating new BoM in odoo 10

Question

I have a scenario where I am creating a manufacturing order for an item with sub BoM items. There are 2 BoM items in the warehouse already manufactured. When I create a manufacturing order for 4 items, save, then check availability, it says there are 0 items in stock and a sub BoM for 4 items has been generated.
How do I get the system to recognize the 2 items already in the warehouse and create a work order for only 2 additional BoM's?

Another example: we have a BoM called *product1* which uses a sub BoM* item1*, we have 2 in stock of *item1* and *product1* calls for 4 of *item1*. When we create the manufacturing order for *product1*, then click on "check availability" it says there is 0 in stock and it has created a MO for 4 of *item1*, ignoring the quantity on hand in that warehouse.
