Hi.

I am running Odoo 15, Community edition, multi company set up.

Some of the companies are in countries where no accouting localisation  packages exist. So I adding a chart of accounts manually, following and excel provided to me.

However I have no option to create new tax groups, or at least I cant locate it anywhere. I would like to have identical tax groups for all the companies we have set up.

What is the reason?

We have "Odoo 15 Accounting, om_account_accountant" installed

Thanks in advance!

Hi Sami

In Odoo 15, the ability to create tax groups is available through the "Accounting" module. However, the availability of certain features can vary based on the edition of Odoo and the installed modules. Since you are using the Odoo 15 Community edition and have the "Odoo 15 Accounting, om_account_accountant" module installed, you should have the necessary functionalities to create tax groups.

To create a new tax group in Odoo 15, please follow these steps:

Log in to your Odoo instance with appropriate access rights.
Navigate to the Accounting module.
In the main menu, click on "Configuration" and then select "Taxes" under the "Localizations" section.
On the Taxes page, you should see a list of existing tax groups.
To create a new tax group, click on the "Create" button.
Fill in the necessary details for the tax group, such as name, description, and any other relevant information.
Save the tax group.

After saving the new tax group, it should be available for selection when configuring taxes for your companies. Make sure to assign the appropriate tax rates and rules to the tax group as per your requirements.

If you are unable to locate the option to create tax groups or encounter any issues while creating them, it's recommended to double-check that the "Odoo 15 Accounting, om_account_accountant" module is installed and activated properly. Additionally, ensure that you have the necessary access rights to create tax groups.

Thank you for taking the time to craft a very detailed answer.

I am logged in as the main user, but my accounting module isn't showing the localization section and I am not able to proceed beyond that point. In my view "taxes" sits just under the "chart of accounts" item in the Accounting section, under the configuration menu item on the Accoounting modules main navigation. I have a vague memory of having at some point looked at the localized charts of accounts , in a view quite similar to what's under apps, but at this point, (with so close to mentally just breaking down :-) ) I really cant be certain what I have seen/accessed and what I am simply imagining.

We are running a multi company set up (Odoo 15.0-20220511 (Community Edition)) , and I have been trying different ways of accessing this, from parent company and a "regular company", with and without developer mode activated and so on, but keep hitting a wall.

**Edit**

I have a test environment set up that at least at somepoint was identical. In the test environment I under Settings module >> Accounting  I can see "Fiscal Localisations"  - for some reason this isn't visible to me in my live environment , I can also see some other minor differences in the options I am able to access. For example, in my LIVE environment the option to select a value from a dropdown called  "Fiscal Country Domestic country of your accounting" is not available
