Dear all,


I need to create an auto-responder via E-Mail, in case a new lead was created based on an incoming mail.

Use-case where we want to send an auto response

  • new mail was send to marketing@domain.com from customer@companyB.com
  • marketing@domain.com is assigned to a sales-team in CRM
  • when a new mail arrives, a new lead is created
  • now, a mail is sent to customer@companyB.com with a confirmation, that we will get in contact with the customer

Use-case where we will NOT send an auto response

  • a sales-Team-member simply creates a new lead

how is it possible to  implement it? So far, I was only able to create a rule which sends a confirmation mail when a new lead was created. no matter if the lead was created by mail or manuall by a sales team member.

Dear Danish,

thanks for the reply. Unfortunatelly, i can not find a way to configure the automation in a way, that only "mail-created-leads" send an answer. Do you have an approach?

You should checked in the automation you can setup some rules there on the stage of that lead
