i want a newbie installation guide from scratch with step by step approach. and also want how to setup pycharm for odoo development. my vm is based on ubuntu 20.04, required to install odoo 16.0 CE with all dependencies for a working development environment. please give a link.

EDIT: also require a beginner guide to create apps & modules, please consider it too.

Hi,

If you are looking to set up odoo development environment, you can set up odoo with pycharm, which is the most used IDE by odoo developers.

You can use the community version of the Pycharm IDE and it can be downloaded from here: https://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/download/#section=linux


Odoo 16 can be downloaloaded from here: https://github.com/odoo/odoo

Once the dev environment is ready, you can start developing your own module by following this tutorials:  Odoo 16 Development Tutorials

Hello, i have Odoo 16 Enterprise installed on Ubuntu 22.04.
Is it possibe to install pycharm since Odoo Enterprise is already installed?

i installed odoo 16 on my PC, default localhost:8069 is working, but when i conf with pycharm and run in localhost 8016, i created and login to db , its keep loading
