In e-commerce we can develop an payment method through inheriting the model payment.acquirer, such as paypal and ogone. but in Point of Sale, it seems payment methods are provided by the model account.journal. And in default, it only provide Cash payment method. Now I want to develop a module to extend a payment method in Point of Sale, just like paypal or ogone. I have no idea where to begin?

Hello,
The Payment method in the POS is the account journals with type [cash or bank and checks]. So to add
new Payment Method option you just need to create a new journal with specific type.
So you can create the journal under Accounting -> Configurations -> Journals. Then create a new journal with type [case or bank and checks] ....
Hope this could help
