Adding fields in Studio Internal Server error for website

Question

Hello,
What will happen to the system if i made a lot of changes in a short time?
Yesterday i made a lot of changes in the system "adding and editing fields by using studio".while adding a new field, the system get down and i received an internal server error msg. then it says the issue is in the website layout. even though i didn't edit anything on the website!
please, i need an explain of why do i got a problem in the website, when no one did any change in the website.
