We produce cable on drums. Each drum with cable is one unique lot number. In a manufacturing order you can only manufacture one lot number.
We have an annealing process at the end (for some products). In the annealing facility you put many drums (= many lot numbers), and process those at the same time. There are several QA registrations also to register.
Any tips on how to set this up efficiently?
In Odoo 19.0 it is now possible to manufacturing multiple Lots or Serial Numbers from a single Manufacturing Order.

I got an idea for solution: When setting order status finish, divide the cost for this operation by the number of backorders. Should be possible with a server action. Hmm.

Hi Lars. Were you able to solve this issue? I manufacture rolls of paper, similar to your drums of cable, and I'm running into the same issue.
