The Shop page in eCommerce Website provides sorting products by "Featured".

How do you define that a product is "Featured"?

I have the exact same question. Odoo documentation makes a point of "Featured" being one of the sort options, but provides ZERO information on how "Featured" is determined, or how a status of "Featured" is assigned to a product.

Hi,

In Odoo, the shop page in the eCommerce Website provides sorting products by "Featured" based on the ascending order of the Website Sequence inside the Product configuration. This means that products marked as "Featured" will be displayed according to their sequence configuration, allowing them to stand out and attract more attention from customers browsing the website.

Based on the information from the sources provided, a "Featured" product in an eCommerce shop is typically defined as a product that is highlighted or given special prominence.

Hope it helps

I cannot imagine Website Sequence as the driver for "Featured" being practical. If you have 50,000 products in your store, how would you manage that on a regular basis? Avoid conflicts in renumbering as you hand-curate the list?

Short of a data dump, sorting an managing in a spreadsheet, and pushing the new sequence back into Odoo, is there some other tool I am missing?

If, as in your example, I were to go into that item and change it from Sequence 4 to 1, what becomes of the item that was already assigned as sequence 1 in the lineup?
