I have discussed with Odoo in detail. To work correctly, the IP address shown in the IOT box home page should be the same as the computer iPv4 address (using ipconfing in cmd prompt). If it is not the same, the iOT box won't connect - you have 2 choices: 1) restart odoo software on the computer by right click start button, and search for the "services" app; scroll down to find Odoo, right click on Odoo and click start. This will restart Odoo. Re start the IOT box on the DB, and it should pick up the new IP, with a green tex display "Your iOT box is up and running." If not, check the computer IP against the IP address shown in the iOT box home page (usually like 192.168.1.X). If you're using DHCP on your router (e.g., the router assigns a new IP to devices on the network from a "pool") you will need to update the IOT box everytime. Or, set your computer to a static IP address outside of the assignment pool. Check the assignment pool (usually from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.30) and assign say 192.168.1.190. This will keep the IOT box IP and the computer IP the same. None of this is very well explained the virtual IOT box support documentation.
