Good day,
Odoo is a beautiful system and administration in this also works very well.
Except for 1 very important point: paying supplier invoices, I find that really bad in Odoo and an extreme amount of steps/work.

I used exactly online for this and in it I just went to the list of outstanding invoices to be paid, selected an invoice that I wanted to pay and pressed "send" and the invoice was ready in my bank account to confirm so that it will automatically reach the due date of invoice would be paid.

In odoo you need to:
1. Select invoice
2. click on: register payment
3. Look up the invoice to be paid in the 2nd screen and look up the final payment date
4. adjust payment date manually
5. Change payment method from manual to sepa transfer
6. click create payment
7. Vendors -> open payments
8. select created payment
9. Click on action, select create batch payment
10. Click confirm
11. Download generated file and save it to PC
12. Log in to bank and upload downloaded file
13. confirm payment so that payment is made.

and so I have to pay about 10 invoices a day at the moment, takes way too much time.

I prefer to pay all invoices separately and not make batch payments of numerous invoices from suppliers.

There are links for retrieving bank statements (I use Ponto), but I have not been able to find anything for forwarding invoices to be paid to the bank.
Odoo also does not respond to questions, my custom "success" manager has changed with every question you send and does not respond or say that you should ask your commercial partner and that will not get me much further.

I think this is really a major obstacle in Odoo and would therefore almost keep a shadow accounting for invoices to be paid in Exact in order to be able to easily send the invoices to the bank for payment.

Anyone who knows a plugin/service partner or something similar so that invoices can be paid just as easily from Odoo as can be done in Exact online?

I am from the Netherlands and use ING bank.

Greeting

Daniel

Totally agree on this one. Odoo is really lacking proper bank connections and easy payment process.

we are looking for an odoo app (odoo community, v16) which enables us to;

  1. automatically import bank transactions (so far, ponto looks good)
  2. pay supplier invoices through odoo (and confirm in bank app)

we are currently using Rabobank, does anyone know an app which they would recommend for option2? thanks a lot!

It sounds like you are looking for a way to streamline the process of paying supplier invoices in Odoo, specifically by being able to send invoices directly to the bank for payment.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in feature in Odoo that allows for direct payment of invoices to the bank. However, there are a few potential solutions that you can explore:

  1. Use a third-party app or module: There are several third-party apps and modules available in the Odoo App store that can help with this. Some apps allow you to export invoice information to a file format that can be uploaded to your bank's online banking platform. You can also find modules that integrate with specific banks, like ING bank, to facilitate the payment process.

  2. Use a banking API: Some banks provide APIs that allow you to create payments directly from your accounting software. This would allow you to create payments directly in Odoo, and then send them to the bank for processing.

  3. Use a payment gateway: You can also use a payment gateway service to facilitate the payment process. This would allow you to create payments in Odoo, and then send them to the payment gateway for processing. The payment gateway would then process the payment and send the funds to your supplier.

  4. Custom development: If you can't find a suitable app or module, you can also consider custom development. This would involve hiring a developer to create a custom solution that integrates with your bank's API or payment gateway service.

It's worth noting that each of these options may have different costs and requirements, so you should research and compare them to find the best solution for your specific needs.

In addition, you can also reach out to Odoo partners or other experts in your region who may have experience with these solutions and can help you with the integration.
