Details are key. What version and edition of Odoo are you running? Self-hosted Community? Trial Enterprise? Timeout likely means an issue in your server setup. And, forum is not broken but everyone is here voluntarily; so don't expect every question, to be answered as if you'd pay for an SLA.

And: upon trying to setup - what's in your log files?

Thanks for your message and yep got it it's the community and not Odoo itself that answers here ;)

I'm running Odoo 18 on odoo.com with the Standard package invoiced at 19/month.

The timeout is all the time on Saltedge side. It authenticate fine with the bank and while trying to retrieve transactions it timeout all the time :(

Since you're on a paid plan I'd like to suggest you to get in touch with https://odoo.com/help-form directly. There's a team dedicated to '[...] bank synchronization issue(s)', which should be able to assist you. Problem is, with Odoo Online, options here in the forum are rather limited since you just can't gain access to logs directly (unless you spam your database) and alternatives can't be installed (whether or not they would be existing) in this type of environment.
