In standard Odoo 17 Enterprise, there isn't a built-in access restriction specifically for the Refund or % Discount buttons in POS — both are visible to all POS users with access to the POS interface.

However, here's what you can do with standard settings (no customisation):

1. Disable Discounts for Cashiers
   • Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Point of Sale.
   • Open your POS configuration.
   • Under Pricing, disable the option Grant Discounts on Order Lines.
   • This will remove or disable the % Disc button for all users on that POS.
   • If you want only admins to apply discounts, you can create a separate POS session for them where discounts are allowed.
2. Refunds

• The Refund button is standard and available to all POS users.

You can see in the image below that Odoo allows “Grant Discounts on Order Lines” control — this governs the visibility of the % Disc button.

However, the Refund button remains available to all POS users by design.
