When we have on-premises Enterprise version, is it regularly updated automatically by Odoo for any bug fix etc or only have to do manually? Do we need any settings for auto update?

Do odoo use numbers for update releases like 10.1, 10.2 and so on?

Many thanks, it is helpful.

Hi Shahzad,

Odoo does not apply updates on your on premise installation, neither for the enterprise or the community version.
If you want to have the latest updates for Odoo you will need to download and apply them yourself.
There are no update release numbers for Odoo updates. If you install Odoo through git you can see at what last commit your Odoo is though (and how far it is behind). You can see this with the git show HEAD command for example:

P.S: If you have an Odoo on Odoo.sh or on the Odoo SaaS your Odoo is automatically updated though.

The sad thing is that even though you pay for an on-premise subscription. You have no access to the enterprise git repo ...

Hi,
You said that if I have Odoo on odoo.sh, the updates will be done automatically. Is there a place or a way to know when and what updates are being done? I don't think I see them in main project updates on my odoo.sh?
