Hi Ray,

is there any way to signup to release notes for these interim versions?

It seems currently one has to somehow manually check now and then and google if release notes are available, even as partners, would be nicer if they are actively circulated.

Thanks
Jan

Odoo 18 will be released during Odoo Experience in October 2024.

It will include all features from Odoo 17.1, 17.2, 17.3, 17.4 and the "master" release until we freeze the codebase sometime in September 2024.

As we release each intermediate version of Odoo 17, we publish Release Notes:

https://www.odoo.com/odoo-17-1-release-notes

https://www.odoo.com/odoo-17-2-release-notes

odoo 17.3 will not be released, all features will be rolled into Odoo 17.4

https://www.odoo.com/odoo-17-4-release-notes

You can learn about the new features by reviewing these release notes, and can even take each intermediate version for a spin with a free trial (create as many as you like!).

We recently shared a presentation covering some of the most significant planned features, you can review it at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SKVM4qtk51_XoPWmfYajiBnJfwD4n5bc

Hello @Manu Miu,

Here is the key highlighted features which had showcased over the recent event for Odoo -18

  • Loyalty in Portal: This could be a loyalty program for your customers, rewarding them for repeat purchases and building stronger relationships.
  • Combo Products everywhere: This might allow you to easily create and promote bundled products, potentially increasing sales value.
  • PDF Quote Builder 2.0: This suggests an improved tool for generating professional and customized quotes for your customers.
  • Request a signature from any document: This feature streamlines the process of getting customer sign-off on important documents.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Multiple warehouses on a website and display stock: This allows you to manage inventory across multiple locations and potentially show real-time stock levels to customers.
  • Inventory: Assign Vehicle to Batch: This could improve efficiency by assigning specific vehicles for picking and delivering batches of inventory.
  • Revamped Barcode App: This suggests an update to the barcode scanning app, likely with new functionalities or a more user-friendly interface.
  • MPS: Automatic Replenishment + Flexible Route: This might be related to a "Managed Print Service" system, allowing for automatic reordering of supplies and optimizing delivery routes.

Other Improvements

  • Mega menu based on ecommerce categories: This could improve website navigation by providing a clear and organized way for customers to find what they're looking for.
  • On demand Quality Checks: This might allow for more flexible and efficient quality control procedures.
