In the US, some states charge sales tax based on the seller address, not the buyer address. I don't see how to set this up. To complicate things, my client has multiple branches in different states and some states use ship from and some use ship to.

They are exploring Taxcloud and Taxjar, but did not want to have to pay the recurring fees.

2 different clients, both on Enterprise, one v13, one v14

Hi Bruce,

I am rolling out a new app in a few days that I just finished developing. I know it’s been a long time since this post, but if you still have any interest I think it might fit what you were looking for. Shoot me an email at sanford@aglow.dev if you are interested.

Hi Bruce,

There is a new US Sales Tax Rate calculation app named TaxAvenger that can handle this situation. It allows the user to select whether each order/invoice is a “Origin” or “destination” based sale. Original would be the warehouse/storefront address, and destination would use the customer address.
