Hi, I am in the process of moving over to Odoo.

I would like to include transactions from the beginning of the month in the system, specifically Purchase Orders and receipt of products into stock.

The effective date on a receipt is automatically set. Is there a way to set this to a historical point in time?

Thanks in advance.

Did you find a solution?

Hi,

In fact you can't. This i a readonly field that is set automatically at the date you validate the transfer.

Because of that, in most case, I don't put historical moves. Just the inventory at the date.

The problem is that you'll then loose some informations as supplier and customer historical stats. If you really need those stats, you need to accept to lose the time information, and have al of them at the same date.

Hi,

You can use this additional module i created. It will set a backdate to your document with selected date you choose.

https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/15.0/effective_date_change/
