After the last update from Odoo 16.3, the Deferred Expenses and Revenue Models creation disappeared from Accounting ==> Configurations ==> Management. Where can I create it?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS

- MRP

I have above issue. I can't find Deferred expenses model and deferred income model in odoo version 16.3 , This is big issue for Accounting ,I've already run deferred expenses model in version 16.2 after update the latest version I can't find the model. please I would like to know how to fix it.
Found the solution, on ver. 16.3 you can introduce deferred dated on the invoice registering process, for vendors or customers! To get the option click on the hidden filelds and clic on the deferred dated on the product introduction lines and clic on the deferred dated and you can set the dates for each line after will give you the option to see the individual deferred lines trough a new button that will appear at the top of the invoice. Hope it helps!

Deferred Expenses and Revenue Models are accounting concepts that involve recognizing and recording expenses and revenue over multiple accounting periods.
Deferred Expenses: Also known as prepaid expenses, deferred expenses refer to expenses paid in advance but are not immediately recognized as an expense. Instead, they are recorded as an asset on the balance sheet and gradually recognized as an expense over the periods benefiting from the prepaid expense. Examples include prepaid insurance, prepaid rent, or prepaid subscriptions.
Revenue Models: Revenue models involve recognizing revenue from a transaction or contract over multiple periods. This occurs when revenue is received in advance but is not immediately recognized as revenue. Instead, it is recorded as a liability on the balance sheet and recognized as revenue over the periods in which the goods or services are delivered or the obligations are fulfilled. Examples include subscription-based services, long-term contracts, or installment sales.
These models are used to match expenses or revenue with the periods they relate to, providing a more accurate representation of financial performance and ensuring consistency in financial reporting. They help reflect the economic reality of a business's operations and facilitate better decision-making.
