Hi!
I consider implementing Odoo for a medium sized retailer (yearly turnover of ~$10M). Do you think it is feasible to build a self-service kiosk / checkout system on top of the PoS app?
I'm ok to invest some resources in nice looking UI, but I'm not sure how well the app itself would scale?
During peak times, I would expect the system to perform a checkout every 30-60 seconds.
New checkout starts when customer scans first product -> customer scans all products -> Scans loyalty card (at any point of the checkout process) -> Reviews total -> Pays at external terminal (card only) -> send receipt to email or print
No personell required, except for some cases:
- Age verification when selling alcohol
- Bar code not working
Does anyone have experience with this? Or knowledge of a working implementation?
I did not find any third-party apps that would fit this use case.
Thanks for the help.
Thomas
