Thanks Jaideep. The issue is we often need to customize the description for each line. We are not running variants at the moment, so we need to specify some information to our customers by typing it into the sales order description. For example, we may have five lines for the same produce, but we need to specify XS, S, M, L, XL sizes by modifying each line. This becomes a problem when we are updating the delivery order. It's currently not possible to know which size we are adjusting on the DO because they are all the same product.

Is there a way in Studio to add the sales order description field on a delivery order?

Using studio you can add the sales order description field to delivery orders -- Edit the Delivery order List view > Add Related Field > Sale Line / Description (sale_line_id.name)

However am not entirely sure if the description field is editable on a sale order line

Hmm, unfortunately, I do not see "Sales Line / Description" as an option. If I try to change the name of the model after saving under a different name, it says this is forbidden.

Thank you Jaideep. I got it to work. The issue is I was trying to add the sales description to the "Detailed Operations" tab. That field is not allowed. But in the "Operations" tab, it is.
