Is there a way to create a development version of a live website that can be edit offline and then published after new pages / content have been built and approved?

Does this really work with 8.0 version?
I think it's for version 9 only, I saw it on the odoo experience days. same for Odoo slides, when it's marked master series, it means that it's under developpement for upcoming versions of odoo.
it is for master series but it can work for v8 also as there are not any major changes in framework if you get some error can fix easily but cant say 100% it will work..
