Dear Odoo Community,

I would like to capture different information for individuals and companies within the Contacts module. However, any changes I make for companies are also applied to individuals – and vice versa.

Could you please help me identify where the issue might be and how to implement this correctly?

I’ve been working with Odoo Studio and suspect that I may have configured something incorrectly.

I truly appreciate your support in advance. Thank you very much!

With Odoo contacts, Individuals or companies are the samething and the only difference is a single boolean field value. They're stored in the same table.

However, you can hide the fields that are not applicable to indivisuals or companies in the views or show them with invisibility condition.

Thank you very much for your response!

Could you describe how I can define different fields for companies and individuals? If it is a company, I would like to have the founding date, industry etc. added. Of course, this should not be available for individuals.
