This resulted in OpenERP 7 crashing. The result was the entire res_partner ID table was deleted. Has anyone experienced this?

I found a solution for this:

Go to Settings - Translations - Application Terms - Translated Terms

Go to the search field and do an advanced search for "Old source" contains "Access your messages and personal documents"

Change the translation value for all languages, including English to this value: "<br title="%s"/>"

Save the translations and synchronize all languages in Go to Settings - Translations - Application Terms - Synchronize Terms

The text and link is gone in the emails now.

I also had this problem and I have restarted with the v7 - 07/07/2013.

Module de / installation order:

  1. E-mail (Portal is also installed)

  2. Uninstall Portal modules

  3. Install further modules

Thanks for the reply - we had a backup, so we restored database. But, we do not want the 'customer portal' tag at the end of all emails, invoice, purchase orders, etc. How do we remove that?

This is hard coded and was activated by portal. Try to uninstall (not Disable). Search portal modules. Look at dependencies, uninstall portal as latest.

We are kind of worried about unistalling this, so is there anyway to make a code adjustment to prevent the 'customer portal' link after sending an invoice/purchase order or template email?

Settings->Technical->Email->Templates

And then you can edit the templates for the emails and remove that line.
