I set up campaign same as the described in tutorial, I check the mails sending and receiving using email marketing app.
Now, the issue with automation. in the campaign, when we add new lead on CRM, the activity (type: email) triggered and mail should be sent. However, it was not happen.
Another try, I create new mail in Email marketing app. it was run properly, but not update the field as per the campaign.
Can any one know, what is the wrong or something is missing in the process?

Yes, the 1 hr after is the trigger I was referring to.
1. Does the campaign dashboard "total" reflect the right number of participants? (Including the new one added)
2. Are the emails sent out when you 'Start' campaign? (Not launch a test)
You can also check the emails from Settings > Technical > Messages
In my testing, the emails were sent, but I had added the new lead manually by clicking "Generate Participants" button

There are 2 scheduled Actions (Settings > Technical > Scheduled Actions) you may want to validate if they are active and their execution frequency
1. Marketing Automation: execute activities
2. Marketing Automation: sync participants
Both these are set to execute on campaigns in 'running' state only.
In my test server the sync participant was set to execute every 12 hrs, which explains why I had to manually 'Generate Participants'.
Execute activities is set for every 1 hour.

What I gather your question is that, once a campaign is launched and running and there is a new inclusion to your participants (filter) to campaign (in your example a fresh lead in new stage), they don't get automatically included in the campaign?
Could you confirm the understanding
They automatically included in the campaign, I checked. But, mail has not been sent to them.
Once new lead generated, campaign added the new data(from CRM), but does not perform the action.
There is a trigger on the activity (email) would you know if that time has passed after the new participant is added?
I can not get you, Well, I 'launch a test' and it works properly.
by trigger means, scheduled time of the campaign(in my point of view). I scheduled time '1 hour after'. The time has been pass, but, mail not received. Not on new mail also.
Hi, I have a pretty much the same issue. When I run a test, the email is delivered immediately, but when I set up the automation, sometimes the email is not delivered at all, and other times it is sent with a delay of hours. I have configured it with 0 hours after the workflow beginning as the trigger, so I expected an immediate action. I'm using Odoo's own server instead of an external service, as recommended for a small quantity of emails.
My use case is: When a user subscribes to a newsletter on my website, they should receive an email with a link to download an ebook.
