Hi everyone,

I'm trying to remove the Zip Code field from the checkout form on my Odoo website. I've already tried hiding the field using the website editor, but I still can't submit the form without filling in the zip code. It seems like the field is being treated as mandatory, although it's not required in the database (I've checked in res.partner).

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the backend controllers or the Odoo file system, so I'm unable to override the controller or make deeper customizations directly in Python. Is there a way to fully remove or disable the Zip Code field from the checkout form without access to the controllers? Any suggestions for bypassing this validation through the frontend or using other tools available in the Odoo interface would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,
You can hide the field with a default value, lets say an empty space as the default value for the field, which you can set from the xml itself and do the hack.

Thanks

It is not required to create a res.partner record but is required to create a sale.order record with a delivery address.

You can't bypass it without writing code - and that code would need to deal with all other other places we expect a zipcode / postcode for the delivery of a purchase someone made online.
