Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue in the Point of Sale module in Odoo. Not all products from a specific POS product category are being displayed on the POS interface. Some products show up correctly, while others from the same category are missing.

I've checked the following:

  • The products are published in POS (checkbox enabled).
  • The products are active and belong to the correct POS category.
  • There are no visibility or access rights restrictions.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to troubleshoot it further?(Enterprise 18 online)

Thanks in advance!

Thank you, Piyush H, for your support!

It turns out the issue was actually related to Odoo's default display limit of 100 products in the POS interface. Once that limit is reached, additional items from the category won’t appear unless the configuration is adjusted.

Hello Nina,

It sounds like you're encountering a frustrating issue with your Odoo Point of Sale (POS) not displaying all products from a specific category. Here are a few potential causes and troubleshooting steps to investigate further:

  1. Check Product Availability and Stock:
  • Available in POS: Double-check each missing product to ensure the "Available in POS" checkbox is indeed enabled on the product form under the Sales tab.
  • Stock Levels: If you are managing inventory, verify that the missing products have sufficient stock in the relevant warehouse. Odoo POS can be configured to hide out-of-stock items.
  1. POS Category Configuration:
  • Category Assignment: Confirm that all missing products are correctly assigned to the intended POS product category.
  • Category Visibility: Ensure there are no visibility restrictions set on the POS category itself that might be filtering out certain products.
  1. POS Configuration:
  • Active POS Configuration: Make sure you are working with the correct POS configuration.
  • Category Filter: Verify that the POS configuration does not have any category filters enabled that might be excluding the missing products.
  1. Pricing and Discounts:
  • Price List: Check if a price list is active in your POS configuration. If so, ensure that the missing products have prices defined in that price list.
  • Discounts: Review any active discounts or promotions that might be affecting the visibility of certain products.
  1. Clear Cache and Reload:
  • Browser Cache: Clear your browser's cache and cookies, as outdated cached data can sometimes cause display issues.
  • Odoo Cache: Restart the Odoo server to clear the server-side cache.
  • Reload POS: Refresh the POS interface in your browser to ensure you're loading the latest data.
  1. Check for Conflicting Configurations:
  • Other Modules: Investigate if any other installed modules might be interfering with the POS product display.
  • Customizations: If you have any custom code or customizations in your Odoo instance, temporarily disable them to see if they are causing the issue.
  1. Database Constraints:
  • Check Constraints: Verify that there are no database constraints preventing the products from being displayed in the POS.

If you've exhausted these troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, consider seeking help from the Odoo community or an Odoo partner. They may be able to provide more specific guidance based on your Odoo configuration and any custom modules you have installed.
