So I am trying to run odoo version 18 locally (just can't seem to get it right). 

I am using a mac system. I clone the 18.0 branch, create a virtual enviroment.

python3 -m venv odoo_venv

Install setuptools wheel

 pip3 install setuptools wheel

Try to install the requirements with 

 pip3 install -r requirements.txt

I end up with this error, no matter what I try.

• Python3 (3.13)
• Pip3 (3.13)
• postgres (14.17)
• PGAdmin
• Node
