We are in Odoo 10 community.
It seems the stages defined are not reusable. Isn't it weird?
Each time you create a new project, you have to create new tasks AND new stages for these tasks.

You can create a project to act as a template if you want the same tasks in each project.
You can share task stages or not, depending if you want flexibility (and project managers can customize their own projects) or consistency.
