Virginie Dewulf has been working with Odoo since 2015 as a business and functional analyst. In 2018, she co-founded an Odoo integrator cooperative company in Brussels. After 3 years as a Board Member for the Odoo Community Association (OCA), she is now the OCA Executive Director.
Implementing an Odoo project for a challenging customer is hard. You need to understand the real business needs, know the full scope of Odoo features and find the perfect match for the customer, at a fair price today and for the future, keeping in mind the cost of the maintenance of the solution.
You are not alone with your challenges. Thousands of Odoo consultants and technical experts have been in the same situations. Since 2013, an independant community has been building an impressive amount of open source Odoo modules : the Odoo Community Association, also known as the OCA.
As an Odoo integrator, you certainly already use several OCA modules, without knowing it! But the OCA is not only a bunch of free and open source Odoo modules. It is much more than that.
During this talk, we’ll present how the OCA was born, who is part of the community, how we collaborate to build new open source Odoo features and discuss the future of our community.
