When exporting data in Odoo, on the left side where it lists the fields, I see some fields that are underlined. I've researched this and it would seem that these are mandatory or required fields...but I'm not sure for what. When I check the box that says " I want to update data (import-compatible export) I want to update data (import-compatible export)" and then look at the exported file, the column names don't seem to reflect these mandatory fields. Can someone please explain this to me or, alternatively, refer me to a web page that explains it? We're getting ready to create a new database that will require a lot of exporting and importing from an earlier Odoo database and I want to make sure that I understand this. Much appreciated.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Hi,
The underlined fields are the required fields in the model, when you export the data in the import compatible format the column header will be the technical name of the field.
To know more about the import export process in odoo: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/17.0/applications/general/export_import_data.html
Thanks
