Hello,

Right now when a customer needs us to repair a computer for them they will ship it to us, we’ll repair it and ship it back. I’ve been using a Webkul module to facilitate this in Odoo 13 but now I’m using 14 e and trying to minimize my dependence on 3rd party apps.

Using the repair module I can process a “return” to  generate my incoming (i uncheck ‘update so/po line’). That takes care of putting it in my repair location; and then I return that picking on the way out to remove the inventory. While this is pretty burdensome I can get past that.

My issue is when I add RAM or Motherboard to my  parts list I select it’s coming from ‘WH/Stock’ to ‘WH/Repair’. If I don’t have that motherboard in stock I expect a PO to generate like I have it setup  in Sales. Can anyone give me any insight to fixing this? I cannot generate a PO.

Thank you!

Products for Repair Orders are deplenished at the finish of the operation.

This is to support the Use Case "I am repairing something,  I  have  all  products I need  in  front  of  me and I  will document what products and what services I provide during the repair".

This is very different to how a Sales Order creates a planned Transfer (that the scheduler can attempt to reserve quantities for and/or trigger reordering rules) before the product is shipped to the Customer.

Your requirement would involve  needing  a  planned  Transfer  for  each  Repair  Order and therefore customization of the framework.
