I get the specific error below

The Date (01/01/2022) doesn't match the Number (FLT/MON/2022/1/KE-6.10/000047). You might want to clear the field Number before proceeding with the change of the date. 


This happens if you change the invoice format. Changing ir.sequence does not help.

starting from v14, Odoo don't use ir.sequence for Invoice (account.move) anymore. the sequence is created by python function, so changing the ir.sequence won't help

to continue the process, you need to edit the invoice and clear the Number/Name field. then when you validate, Odoo will generate a new number based on the date

Thanks Fady, could you confirm does that mean that all invoices would have the same sequence and no way to assign a different format eg SALESDIVA0001 and SALESDIV20001 for two sales divisions eg?
