Hi All,

I work for a company where staff change departments regularly, so we are looking at way of tracking a staff members 'journey' throughout the company.

We were going to use the Resume section of the Employee record, as this makes the most sense. Is there a way that we can End and Enter a new Resume Line that will then also change the employee's department (based on the date of the new Resume Line).

Any ideas on how to reach the below outcome? (main goal is to reduce double input)

E.g.

Staff1 works in Dep1

As of 20/06/2024, Staff1 moves to Dep2

I want the resume to reflect the change (which it does), but then by also doing this change, the department on the employee form is updated

Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean by 'this operation',
I'm clicking on the resume line that is active, adding an end date, then adding a new line (when the employee has started in their new department) - I cannot choose the department in the new line though, this seemed to be a read only field from the employee form
