Mail Messages Easy Pro Version

All features of basic version plus:

  • Message Preview Pane
  • Edit or Delete Messages and Notes directly from Chatter or Discuss thread
  • Move messages to other thread/record
  • Reply , Forward , Move message directly from Discuss or Chatter thread
  • Flexible Chatter: Show/hide Messages, Notes, Notifications!
  • Assign message author if author was not detected automatically
  • Delete CRM Leads/Opportunities if no messages left except for Notifications
  • Show lost messages
    Sometimes Odoo cannot determine target model/record for the message and such messages remain unassigned so users cannot see them.
    Meanwhile these messages can contain important information!
    Go to "Lost" menu in "Messages" where you can read all of them and move to proper record manually!
    Hint: Add user to group "Messages: View Lost Messages" to access lost messages. Go to "Settings->Users", open User's profile and set checkbox on this setting.

installed this extension today and I consider this a really helpful module.

Especially when you choose the "E-Mail Compose Mode", this is a big step towards transparency. Then, the recipients (to, cc) are visible in the received mails. No worries about who was not "in the loop".

Other features are also convenient.

Hi Ivan,

I would like to know if, when we use this module, we can receive the client's reply in the log view.

For example:

If a user sends an email from the invoice view using the Odoo invoice send option, including an attachment of the invoice(Default Process), and the customer replies to that email, will the reply be updated in the same log view on the invoice?

Hi Lakshitha,

This module doesn’t change default Odoo headers so there shouldn’t be any issues.

Anyway if you want to test before purchasing it you can ping me directly and I will send you the module. If everything works fine then you can later purchase it from the Odoo App Store.

Hi, Odoo 16 version is not released it. We are finishing migration now so I hope it will be available really soon.

We are currently finishing it. We did the complete refactoring to cleanup all legacy code and switch completely to OWL 2.0

We are working hard on it. Unfortunately there are some issues in Odoo core itself which affect delivery time.

However I hope this month it will be ready. We will notify in our social media as soon as the module Is available.

Hi Alexander, we are working on migration of this module already.
However v16 is still too buggy so I think we will release the module somewhere in December.

"Lost Message" - how to configure this?

Hi, i tried this addon. But i never get "Lost Messages" because Odoo bounces messages that are not bound to a model.

In your addon this sections filters a behaviour that never exists from Odoo's fetchmail service, see code below. - Or do i simply miss something in configuration of fetchmail or alike?

Hi Michael, thank you for the feedback! 

Actually “lost messages” is not about feedback rather than about messages that for some reason are already in Odoo but not attached t any record. This happens sometimes due to module errors etc.

If you want to filter messages that are arriving in Odoo but cannot be forwarder to any record i suggest using fallback model (eg “Conversations°).
There is another module called ”Message Filters” which allows to do this even more flexible way.
